PondMax MediMAX is a dry treatment for bacterial problems in pond fish — the fin rot, open sores and ulcers that follow a stressful spring or a spell of poor water quality.
What it does
- Controls and prevents bacterial infections
- Helps repair fin rot and ulcers
- Used by keepers against bacterial gill disease and open sores
Dosage
- Dissolve 1 oz (30 mL) in dechlorinated water for every 600 gallons to be treated, then add to the pond.
- Remove filter media before treating and leave it out for the 24-hour treatment period, then put it back.
- The 8 oz pack treats up to 4,800 gallons.
Before you dose
PondMax does not publish the active ingredient for MediMAX — the safety data sheet lists it only as a proprietary mixture. If your fish are on another medication, or you need to know the active for veterinary reasons, contact us and we'll get it from PondMax rather than guess.
Keep out of reach of children. May irritate eyes and skin.

After placing a koi fish order, we confirm availability and health, reserve your koi, and prepare it for pickup or shipping. If issues arise, we’ll reach out to discuss options.
Product Orders (Food & Equipment):
For supplies, we gather your items and notify you for pickup. If anything is out of stock, we’ll discuss alternatives.
Pickup & Shipping:
• Local Pickup: Available Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
• Shipping: We offer expedited shipping for koi with health checks and tracking for safe arrival.

Live Fish:
- Returns: Live fish cannot be returned after delivery.
- 14-Day Live Arrival & Health Guarantee: Your fish is covered by our 14-Day Live Arrival & Health Guarantee. If a fish arrives dead, or is lost to shipping stress or a health problem within 14 days of delivery, you choose a replacement, store credit, or a refund of the fish's price.
- Claim deadlines: Report a fish that arrives dead within 2 hours of the recorded delivery time, with a photo and your order number, so please be home for delivery. Report later losses within 14 days of delivery, with photos, a short video, your order details, and water readings. Email champkoi@champkoi.com.
- Not covered: Improper acclimation, poor water quality, injury, predation, fish jumping out, negligence, and treatments applied without our guidance.
Non-Returnable Items:
- Chemicals, medications, water conditioners, and pond liners cannot be returned due to safety and quality reasons.
General Merchandise Returns:
- If you're not completely satisfied, you may return items within 14 days, subject to a 15% restocking fee. Note: shipping and handling costs are non-refundable.
- Items on sale or special deals, as well as special order items, cannot be returned.
- To ensure a smooth return:
- Items must be in unused, resellable condition.
- Original packaging, warranty books, manuals, parts, and accessories must be intact.
- For shipping, please encase the original packaging in another carton to prevent damage.
Return Process:
- Prior to returning any items, please obtain a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) by contacting us. Have your invoice ready for reference.
- After inspection, we'll confirm acceptance of the returned merchandise.
Return Shipping:
- Customers cover return freight costs. If we made an error or the item is defective, we'll handle the freight charges.
- For orders with free shipping, the actual outgoing freight charge will be borne by the customer.

My review comes with a bad experience turned immensely positive by the hard working staff at Champion Nishikigoi. I had spent a number of weeks debating on, and finally ordering a Showa upwards of 1k as the jewel of my collection. After purchasing the fish, I was notified that the fish was not in the pond and that it was possible that it was purchased in person earlier that day or that the listing had been updated without the initial listing having been removed. This was extremely disappointing to me. However, the team at Champion Koi personally reached out and the owner made recommendations for replacement. They provided me with a discount on the replacement fish, but more importantly, they actually listened to my concerns and my dismay at the experience. Champion Koi made real observable change as a response updating their website to include a warning about this very rare occurrence and making a guarantee of a 10% credit for anyone who would have a similar experience. It is extremely rare to find a business that cares enough to make actual change based on a customer experience and show that they actually care about their customers. They have certainly earned my business and they should definitely have yours!
