Marusaka Koi Farm

Marusaka Koi Farm is a family business that has been producing Nishikigoi (koi) for over 70 years. The farm is located in Ojiya, the birthplace of Nishikigoi, and has about 80 mud ponds and 55,000 koi. The farm breeds a large number of varieties, including Sanke, Kujaku, Kikusui, Kin Ki Utsuri, Kikokuryu, Midorigoi, and others. The farm is also famous for its Marusaka Sanke, which won the category champion at the All Japan Nishikigoi Show in 1947.
