The liquid reagent kit most koi keepers end up owning. Five tests in one waterproof box: pH, high range pH, ammonia (NH3), nitrite (NO2) and nitrate (NO3) — the full nitrogen cycle plus both pH ranges, which matters because established koi ponds often sit above the standard scale. Over 800 tests, with glass test tubes, riveted color cards and a color wallchart.
Liquid reagents take a few minutes longer than strips and are considerably more accurate, which is what you want when a reading is going to decide whether you dose the whole pond.
One gap worth knowing before you buy: this kit does not test carbonate hardness (KH). KH is what anchors pH in a koi pond, and koi ponds consume it continuously — when it runs out, pH stops being held steady and swings hard overnight. Everything else you need is in this box; for KH, pair it with the API GH & KH Test Kit.

Love this place and the staff! Fish are amazing, all sizes and prices. Fish healthy and water clear. Everything we have purchased from here has been free of any health issues and is doing well in our ponds. There is a fish for all price ranges as well and some uncommon goldfish. My review comes with a bad experience turned immensely positive by the hard working staff at Champion Nishikigoi. I had spent a number of weeks debating on, and finally ordering a Showa upwards of 1k as the jewel of my collection. After purchasing the fish, I was notified that the fish was not in the pond and that it was possible that it was purchased in person earlier that day or that the listing had been updated without the initial listing having been removed. This was extremely disappointing to me. However, the team at Champion Koi personally reached out and the owner made recommendations for replacement. They provided me with a discount on the replacement fish, but more importantly, they actually listened to my concerns and my dismay at the experience. Champion Koi made real observable change as a response updating their website to include a warning about this very rare occurrence and making a guarantee of a 10% credit for anyone who would have a similar experience. It is extremely rare to find a business that cares enough to make actual change based on a customer experience and show that they actually care about their customers. They have certainly earned my business and they should definitely have yours!
