Aqua Meds® Eliminate™ is a potassium permanganate pond treatment for parasites, fungus and bacterial infections. This is the heavy artillery: when a koi is flashing, clamped, or showing ulcers and gentler treatments haven't moved the needle, Eliminate is what experienced keepers reach for.
What it treats
- Parasites including Chilodonella, Costia and Trichodina
- Fungus and a wide range of bacteria
- Bacterial gill disease and skin ulcers
- It also oxidizes organic waste in the water column, which clears the pond as a side effect
Dosage
Add 16 oz of Eliminate™ per 6,000 gallons of pond water — a 2 ppm dose. One 16 oz bottle treats a 6,000-gallon pond once.
How to treat
- Do a water change of 25% or more before you start.
- Bypass your biological filter and switch off any UV sterilizer. Increase circulation and aeration — potassium permanganate pulls oxygen out of the water.
- Add the measured dose.
- The water holds a pink or purple tint for roughly 4 hours.
- After 6 to 8 hours, deactivate the treatment with Aqua Meds DeTox-Plus™ or Just Dechlor™.
Stay with the pond for the whole treatment. Potassium permanganate is a strong oxidizer, and a pond carrying a heavy organic load can burn through the dose quickly. Watch your fish throughout and be ready to neutralize early if they show distress.
Warnings
- Wear gloves and eye protection. It stains skin, clothing and hard surfaces.
- Do not mix with other medications. Pond salt is the only compatible treatment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Not for human or veterinary use. Not for fish intended for human consumption.

Live Fish:
- Due to the delicate nature of our fish, we cannot accept returns. However, we are committed to ensuring you receive your fish alive.
- Please ensure you are present during delivery to accept and sign for your fish.
- If, unfortunately, your fish arrives deceased, notify us within one hour of delivery. Send a digital photo as proof to champkoi@champkoi.com, and we'll replace it with another of equal value.
Non-Returnable Items:
- Chemicals, medications, water conditioners, and pond liners cannot be returned due to safety and quality reasons.
General Merchandise Returns:
- If you're not completely satisfied, you may return items within 14 days, subject to a 15% restocking fee. Note: shipping and handling costs are non-refundable.
- Items on sale or special deals, as well as special order items, cannot be returned.
- To ensure a smooth return:
- Items must be in unused, resellable condition.
- Original packaging, warranty books, manuals, parts, and accessories must be intact.
- For shipping, please encase the original packaging in another carton to prevent damage.
Return Process:
- Prior to returning any items, please obtain a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) by contacting us. Have your invoice ready for reference.
- After inspection, we'll confirm acceptance of the returned merchandise.
Return Shipping:
- Customers cover return freight costs. If we made an error or the item is defective, we'll handle the freight charges.
- For orders with free shipping, the actual outgoing freight charge will be borne by the customer.
