Torazo Koi Farm is another famous Nishikigoi (koi) breeder in Japan. It is located in Uragara, Ojiya, and has been operating since 1917. It is one of the oldest koi farms in the world. The current owner is Tsuyoshi Kawakami, the great-grandson of the founder. Torazo Koi Farm specializes in Gosanke varieties, especially Kohaku and Sanke. It has its own Sanke bloodline that is widely used by other breeders for its high quality. Torazo Koi Farm has a raising area of around 40,000 m² and takes pride in its beautiful ponds.
