Hoshikin Koi is located in Ojiya City, Niigata, Japan. The farm is run by Katsuyuki Hoshino. They specialize in breeding a variety of Koi, including Kohaku and Showa.

The farm has a large raising area of 100,000 m. With the founding year 1984, Hoshikin Koi Farm is a fairly new face within the koi world. In 1998, the farm became world famous by winning the Grand Champion at Japan’s most important koi show with a fabulous kohaku. Hoshikin’s kohaku are widely known and often grow very large.
