Air is a very important consideration when
maintaining a healthy Koi Pond. Every living thing needs
oxygen, not only the Koi we keep, but also the beneficial bacteria
that we need to provide that ever illusive 'perfect water'
Important to note:
If you are installing an Air Pump in your system, we recommend that the air
pump be located as near as possible to the outside Fresh Air.
This way there can be no danger of the Air Pump drawing in bad
smells, or fumes, which could severely influence the quality of the
air that you are providing for your system, and also cause problems
for the pond life.
